According to Ancient Chinese Legend, The Master Martial Artist Named Zhang San Feng Originated the Style / System Of Art almost 800 Years Ago. An Origin Tale from the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279) is that One Night, The Supreme Ultimate Taught Zhang San Feng How To Fight WithIn The Mystik Vision of a Deep Dream. It Disturbed Zhang San Feng to Reflect & Ponder on The Art Of War, The Way Of The Warrior, Mortal Combat, and The Dying Body & The Nature of the Soul ... One Day, some Time after he had the Dream, he had an Epiphany as he had come across a Moment when he Witnessed a Fight between a Snake and a Crane. He Observed the Fight and Saw that the Snake and Crane could not Defeat One Another. Their Engaging Intensity of WarFare had a Gentle Touch of Softness to the Groove of their Heart's Being that Locked them in a Mellow Broken Rhythm of One Another's Natural Ebb & Flow of their Soul's Expression, and they were unable to Defeat One Another, so they Departed and went their Separate Ways. The Fluidity of the Attack & Defense with the Break in the Rhythm of their Maneuvers had Opened Zhang San Feng's Mind to Deeper Revelations of How Softness OverComes Hardness and How it can Be Used as a Source of Regenerative Strength WithIn The Body, and Developed further with QiGong (Ki Cultivation Work) Practices.
The Relationship and the Martial Dance was something that Zhang San Feng Meditated On Deeply, and Thoroughly Put Together a System Of Methodology to All The Spiritual Meditative Principles of "Softness" and opened Schools to Share his Holistic LifeStyle & Methods of Training The Mind, Heart, Body, & Soul. The Moving Meditation of the Kung-Fu Moves are Tempered to Slow, Graceful, & Fluid Motions with Gentleness of Execution. Meditating on the Polarities of The Forces Of Nature, "Yang & Yin", while Incorporating Techniques & Attitudes from Shaolin Shadow Boxing and Taoist Breathing, Zhang San Feng Originated the Style of Taiji Quan / Tai Chi (AlongSide his Two Offspring, "Xing Yi Quan / Hsing-I Quan" and "Bagua Zhang / Pa Kua"), and Established many of the Soft Style Schools that still Practice his Principles of Kung-Fu and Method of Training.
